From Indie Grit to Global Production

Szonja’s path to the film industry was anything but ordinary. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to a trailblazing single mother, she learned early what it means to carve your own way. By the time she was a teenager, she was living independently, working in professional theatre, and already earning her place on film sets.

That spirit of resilience and adaptability carried her across continents. In Hungary, she uncovered her family roots and built an international career as a Script Supervisor and Assistant Director, collaborating on productions like Evita and Spy Game. Along the way, she worked with actors like John Hurt and Eddie Murphy and learned firsthand what it takes to make ambitious creative visions a reality.

In 2001, she brought that same determination to Canada, rebuilding her career from the ground up while raising two children. What began with late nights on indie films and day jobs at a video store became a steady climb to trusted Line Producer and Production Manager. Today, she brings decades of global film experience, problem-solving grit, and a deep love for storytelling to every project she touches.

Because for Szonja, it’s never just about managing a production — it’s about giving directors, crews, and creators the confidence that their story will be told right, on time, and on budget.
